COVID-19 VACCINE UPDATES
Nevada is currently providing COVID vaccines to: workers such as plumbers, electricians, exterminators, builders (including building and insulation), contractors, HVAC Technicians, technicians for elevators, escalators, moving walkways, landscapers, and other service providers are available for the vaccine at this time.
Workers supporting government functions related to the building and development process, such as inspections, permitting, and plan revew services, can be modified to protect the public health, but fundamentally should continue and enable the construction industry's continuity. Below are instructions for the construction workers.
COVID VACCINE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL IBEW PARTICIPANTS:
- Visit THIS WEBSITE.
- Scroll down, and click the +Frontline Community Support Option.
- Select a location, and click Book an Appointment.
- Once you have indicated if it is your first/second dose, please select your Eligible Group as Community Support Frontline Staff.
- Choose your date/time. (Slots are filling up fast -- you may need to keep checking back)
- From there you will be required to fill in some personal details including your health insurance information.
- When asked to indicate your occupation, please select Other, and type in Electrician.
Once you sign up for the vaccine, please remember to bring a paycheck stub and/or your IBEW badge.
Nevada continues to vaccinate health care workers, first responders, residents of long-term care facilities, and other essential workers who work in health care settings.
Individuals who are 70+ can register for their first vaccine dose by clicking HERE. (and scroll to the bottom) -- Please be patient, as this website is likely overloaded with many people trying to register at once. The calendar may be full when you first try, but please continue to check daily. As SNHD continually receive vaccine doses, they will open up additional dates and times.

1. UNION FAMILY HEALTH CENTER
Union Family Health Center: (702) 437-0227 or (702) 960-4486. Appointment required.
**The Union Family Health Center Northwest location (8053 N. Durango Dr, Suite 160 Las Vegas, NV 89101) now has rapid testing available. Please call (702) 960-4486 and the medical assistants will schedule an initial phone appointment with a provider to determine which test is needed. Then the appointment for testing can be made for the same or next day. The provider will determine which test is appropriate for your particular situation. AGAIN, AN APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED!
2. PIXEL BY LABCORP
This is an at home test. They will send you a kit and you send it back. Click Here for more information.
3. SNHD.COM -- SEVERAL LOCATIONS
Follow the instructions on the website (CLICK HERE). Some testing locations require an appointment, others are walk-in.
If you use one of these locations: Arrive early, dress for the weather and bring water. There is usually a line.

IF NOT WORKING STAY HOME!
The Union Family Health Center is taking calls at 702-437-0227 or 702-960-4486 they will triage you (ask a series of questions). From there they will inform you of the next steps.
**YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT**
The Union Family Health Center has an afterhours nurse line at 877-239-9372. The nursing staff will triage and advise you of what to do.
If you are a Union Family Health Center participant and need medication refill please call one week in advance to the Center.
If you are with another provider call one week in advance for medication refills.
Some individuals are still required to work. For those working individuals, remember to follow social distancing measures.
Social distancing is a needed process to keep you and your family safe. You may not have active symptoms, but you could be a carrier.
Several construction sites have sent employees home due to potential or actual exposure.
Weekend and night procedure!
Watch for symptoms listed below and use supportive care (Tylenol for fevers). If you have any of the “emergency warning signs” please seek immediate care (Urgent Care/ Emergency room).
